Hi Guys, I thought I would post a picture of the 43% Edge fuse. The wings and tail have come out great and I only have to finish up the hatch floor and the framing will be complete. I will hang the cowl this week and I hope to be ready for covering by Thanksgiving. This airframe is looking great. I can't wait to finish it up and if the snow holds off for a little while longer here in WI. I will test fly it. Later guys.

I completed the hatch and fit the canopy. All came out perfectly. Now onto the last piece of the puzzle and it will be done. A couple more shots of the hatch and canopy.

Hi Guys, I will have more pics for you later in the week. It will be a 3D machine for sure. I am guesstimating a weight of 37# ?? oz. My 43% Extra 300 os 37# 10 oz so this one should be real close. I am working on the cowl mounting and should be done with that Wed night or Thur. Not much left to do now.

Hi Guys, Would you like a couple shots with the cowl in place? It looked so good the pilot even had to sit in the cockpit to see how it feels. Now down to the final nitty gritty before final sanding.
I should have pictures for you this weekend with the plane assembled wings and tail on. Later Doug A & D Custom Aero |

Here they are. The pictures of the final assembled 43% Edge. It is one sweet looking plane. All that is left is final sanding and cover. The all up airframe in the bones is 20# 10oz. After you add approximately 17# for radio gear and DA170 on stock mufflers or 18.5# for canisters she should weigh in at 37.5# -38.5#. I will be covering it over the holiday weekend and if weather holds out I may test fly it. Weather here will be changing for the worse at any time. After the covering is done I will post a couple more pics.
You better get on the phone to Carden Aircraft soon if you want one of these. They are going quickly. Doug Yaroch A & D Custom Aero |

Very nice work.
How long did it take you to get it in the bones?

It only took me the last 5 weekends to get to this stage. I put in a couple hours in the evening a few times also. They build very quickly if you have built a couple before. I framed the entire fuse in one weekend. The wings and tail sheeting and LE/TE are what take the most time. It is one nice looking airframe and it will fly as good as my 40% did. It should as my 40% weighed 37# and this one will come in at 37.75#.

I was going to purchase one of these kits off the first run but unfortunately my plan had to change.
Again nice work. I'll be looking for pictures as you post them. Steve S. a friend of mine has the 43% 260 that came in at approx.37lbs and he was flying it with a DA 150. The 150 proved to have enough power for unlimited vertical. When I flew it it was like flying a giant foamy.
