Default Noobie trying to go IMAC this year

Well, I said I was going to be flying last season but the funds just aren't getting there. I have several things for sell and hoping to get in on the 2010 season. I have been flying for 25 years and never competed. I think this would be so much fun. I have one guy that has said he would help me out so now its just getting the stuff and practice......
Hope to see you all soon,
I'll still be out watching the events (druelling)

Great fun... best folks I have ever met! IMACers are my family away from home?

Where is home? What region would you be in?

I am in Reidsville, not far north of you. I think I met you last year in Mocksville. I really got the fever and the wife has a tight grip. I 'm going to make this work somehow. I may end up collecting hand me downs.

Jamie, maybe you can make it out to the giant scale fly in over in York this weekend. Myself and a few other IMAC pilots will be there. We would like to help you any way we can.

Or if you get a plane in time, come down to Camden for the next close contest.

You don't need a 50cc plane to fly basic if you have a glo plane that can fly IMAC you can get started with it. You will learn alot flying with what you have and look for a 50cc for next year.

I have a CMPro Katana 140, 74" ws. It has a XZY 26cc gas on it but I don't know if it will fly the pattern in the up lines. I may take it out and see what it will do. I wish I had a 40 on it.

If you're flying that, you may want to go ahead and step up to a 35% from there instead of a 50cc once you can afford it. You'll only want to upgrade later on down the road.

The IMAC gang is some of the best people in the world. They are my "home away from home family"

Great Gang and group to hang out with!

OK. Got me a 50cc GP Cap 232G. Going to pic it up tonight. Now if I can get someone to trade me a good 50cc engine for my heli, see swap page, I will be about set.
