Looks nice! Full channel assignment on a radio of this price range is great.

Honestly when I look at the features comparison it almost makes me think that the 8FG is the better deal over the 10C

I had the chance to grab this radio at IRCHA, and to be honest it feels REAL nice in the hands.
Also, whatever springs are on the gimbals, I wish I had on my 12Z. They are perfect. Not toooo stiff, but they offer the perfect amount of resistance. I am a thumber and springs can make or break ya! Futaba Techs, can I get the 8FG springs in my 12Z??!

Looks pretty odd but quite cool
But the question, has anyone ever used their iPod wheel with fuel soaked and dirty hands? It doesnt work too reliably. Its a cool idea but i wonder about the day to day use of the iPod wheel. Time will tell, but its a good step forwards for Futaba to get a decent 8ch TX, bet the price will be good too! Notice the 8+2 channels, kinda like my 12Z being 12+2. If the 12Z is just a 14MZ without windoze, does this mean the 8ch is a 10c with a few more programming functions knocked out? Next job, 10ch RX, 6CH park RX and all round lower prices on RX's please

england, the 14ch rrp's at 180GBP and the 8ch is 140GBP, 7ch is 80GBP too.there has been no mention about the new RXs in the UK yet, but it would be nice to see them over here, so long as the range is good enough for a fast foamy or somthing like a FunJet which will go out of range on the 6004 pretty fast Talking of the 6004, when i was in at the Nall i picked one up for 45US, over here, RRP is 55GBP ![]() ![]() Dare i mention the Futaba 14MZ RRP of 2000GBP here either? Sorry, im taking this thread off the original topic

It looks like a sandwich.....but that touch wheel is an AWESOME idea. I wish I could adapt it to my 12FG's wheel that needs a LOT of rotating to get the job done !

Looking at the functions chart, it looks to be the 12FG reduced to 8+2 channels and with support only for FASST, no module and no 72 mhz. I see almost a 1-1 correspondence between 8FG and 12FG except in the areas where the number of channels is different.
All that is OK with me. I have a 12FG and I love it. What I find missing is in the hardware. There are no side sliders that I can see and there are no auxilliary trim switches, only the trims for the 4 basic controls. The trims I don't care about, the sliders I do use but could probably live without them. The new lower cost 6 channel receivers are a plus as well. It seems as if Futaba has filled in the gaps. It's going to be very interesting to see the 8FG with Futaba's marketing strength and established position competing against the Aurora 9, which has more bells and whistles on the transmitter with the very easy to use touch screen, lower cost receivers, and telemetry. Hopefully the menus display in coverflow and it syncs with my itunes! All aluminum would be nice too.
