where is everyone getting them and what muffler (pitts style) are folks using?
I just did an Instant Buy on Ebay for $305 shipped to my door. I was very impressed at last years Atlanta Huckfest, when I saw the DLE50 put on a plane and run for the first time. .saw the price and just had to buy one. the engine ran very smooth, and was dead nuts dependable, so I just had to have one.

Good price on ebay and if you don't mind working on them your self i see nothing wrong with buying them there. You will always be able to get parts from any of the dealers.
$400.00 plus for a china made engine is getting a little high,i haven't seen any of the DLE dealers offer service as good as DA.
I just had a DA50R that was five years old and the cylinder base bolts broke inflight,DA sent me a new engine, all they reused was the engine case and carb.Everything else is new, crank, bearings, cylinder, piston, muffler and a new spark plug cap that got rip off.All parts & labor was free of charge i just had to pay for shipping $25.00.
So 600.00 for two new DA50 doesn't seem all that bad.
Now all they should do is to come out with a 55-60cc to keep up with the HP race.

Here's a VERY funny thing about this Ebay sale. .

They quoted 170 UK Pounds for the price. . .about $250 USD .. plus an additional 30 UK Lbs or 50 dollars for shipping .. . so. .I BUY the engine and pay for it. . $305 total. . . and I get a receipt from Paypal that the sale went through, and a message from the seller that the engine is boxed and being shipped to me. . .

THEN. . . .the priced changed on the Ebay listing. . Same exact listing (with more than 10 DLE-55's on hand) .. . but now priced 30 pounds MORE, with an increase in shipping cost too, to 200 lbs ($300 USD) and 40 pounds shipping. . about $60 USD. . . . making the total sale now aobut $360 for anyone else who wants to buy off that listing. Out of curiosity, I checked the Updates to the listing, and found that it had been changed to the newer price less than 15 minutes after I finalized the sale.

Now. . it's still a decent price for the DLE-55, at $360 USD to your door. .I'm just glad I scooted in and latched onto mine at the lower price BEFORE they figured out it was priced too low and changed the listed price to it's currrent state. In reality, my purchase at teh low price was prrobably a trigger to institute the higher price, and we may never see that lower first price again.

Looks like I snuck in and snagged a deal at just the right moment. . . .

Here's tthe listing on Ebay, for anyone who wants the DLE-55 at $299, plus shipping: http://cgi.ebay.com/DLE-55-DLE55-55C...item335ad05f15

comes with muffler, ignition, standoffs, and all hardware.
