Hi All,
Wondering if someone could help me determine the right motor and prop configuration for my solar-powered UAV. Very briefly (since I am in rushed off my feet at the moment), the specifications of the UAV are as follows: Mass: 10.8 kg Power for level flight: 130 W Wingspan: 4.2 m Cruise velocity: 9 m/s (~ 20 mph) Lithium Sulfur batteries in a 15S6P configuration operating at 31.5V @ 13.2A Batteries are charged with a solar array producing 198W (after having accounted for MPPT efficiency, sun angle, etc) The main thing I am looking for is efficiency (preferrably any motor with an efficiency >80% for cruise). Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks, Denver P.S. If you need any more info on the plane please ask! Last edited by d_spitz; 08-23-2009 at 03:42 PM. |
