Park 480 910Kv outrunner
I've got a Park 480 910Kv outrunner that just started actin up on me. I bought it used and have flown about 10 flights on it, no issues. Today I was flying for about 10 minutes and I heard it make a loud screech like sound and powered down, I backed the throttle back and advanced it again and it worked for about 5 seconds before repeating the screech and quitting again. I landed and threw in a new battery, 90 seconds into a fresh battery it does it again. All my wires, connections are good, esc is good, any ideas? This is the only electric I've dealt with so I'm clueless.

I have heard of the bearings going bad on those, even on new ones. That would be what I would check.

Have you tried another ESC from a different setup?
I tend to think its the ESC...

Thanks for the link ericb, thats exactly what happened to me, kinda lame since the motor isn't old at all. Oh well, I'll just buy a couple of replacement bearings and keep them on hand.

Have you tried a little bit of transmission fluid on the bearings?
