Hey guys, below you will find the RAW scores from the first round at the 2009 FAI Championships.
Again, these are just the RAW scores. We will do our best to update this thread as much as we can.

Andrew Jesky, Brett, Jason and QQ have tried to update their thread here on the Giants, but their internet access has spotty at it's best. But if and when they can, they will!
Speaking up updates, Andrew was able to briefly get internet access and he did post a recap of day 1

On Bretts line is Bernd in the lead with Suzuki right behind and Brett behind them. On my line I flew against Akiba and am ahead of him by only 8 points. It is going to be a tough battle the entire way though. We are all in great spirits and ready to kick some butt!!! What's with the zeros on noise?? One judge put -10 for QQ on noise ! That seems harsh ... Apparently the Europeans don't like our noisy planes??

Is our set-up that different? W/all those zeros is it possible for us to do well at all?

I may not understand what's going on....

Each pilot will fly in front of each of the 4 panels of judges. Their scores will be normalized for each panel and the lowest dropped. Then they will move on to the Finals flying the F09 sequence.

Where did you see this? Quique is flying an electric power system in his airplane, so I find it hard to believe he would be penalized for sound.

That's in case a judge thinks a competitor didn't have the airplane at full throttle when it was being sound checked. If a majority of judges think the airplane was too loud in flight (i.e. assigning a -10 score) then the pilot is penalized. Quique only had one occurance and that judge did it for quite a few people, so no worries, and no penalties for him.

RJ, there is a spot on the tare sheet below the scores for the flight. A 0 means nothing, as no score is given or taken away.

T. Bob, the food is actually pretty good, but the beer selection is pretty lacking, which surprised me for Europe.
