Well guys... As much as it pains me to say so, I'll be unable to make the trip down.

My son's stepfather, who I can luckily say is a good friend of mine, has contracted Guillain Barre Syndrome. It is a disease where your body actually starts eating away at your nerves and renders you paralized. It is something that a good percentage of people can recover atleast somewhat from but most end up with perminant paralysis in some portions of their body. He is fully paralized now and has been for about a week. This is obviously making it very difficult on my son's mother as they have my son and a 1.5yr old. We are taking my son full time right now to assist in any way possible. He lives and goes to school about 50 miles from our house so there is a lot of extra driving. Anyway, he is with us this weekend and we still have to keep our business open so either my wife or myself needs to be at home with him so the other can be at the car lot running things.

Now, there is also a bit of "good" news that is keeping me from the trip..... We are finally to the point of packaging and shipping Kits!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!! I have several pre oreders that I need to cut foam for and pack up so the big brown truck can come and get them first part of the week! It would probably be a bit irresponsible of me to run off to the HF and fly while my VERY patient customers wait for their product that I could be getting to them....

Needless to say I am bummed out. But family, even when it is my ex and her husband, comes first. They are terrific parents to my son and it is time for us to help out as much as possible.

Have a blast guys! Fly the Sh*t out of everything for me and make this one the best of the year!

I'll see most of you at FX3D in JAX in Feb!

Matt

he did get a recent flu shot but they are saying that it would've been the H1N1 shot that would've spurred this and he has not received that one.. he was just getting over flu-like symptoms and BANG.... he couldn't move.

5 years ago my grandmother contracted GBS not long after getting a flu shot. Of course, the doctors said there was no connection. She recovered however she suffered permanent damage to the nerves in her face and was left with partial paralysis of the muscles that cause you to blink.

I have you guys in my prayers, I hope it works out.
