I've been looking at all the Dietrich Slick Models. I was wondering what is the company like to work with. Is the hardware good? Just anything I need to know? I have searched but haven't been able to turn up much!

There are a bunch of threads out there. Just type Dietrich in the search bar and you can basically find a thread with each model in it. Hope this helps. |

Kdouglas,
We are Distributors for ACE Hobbies, Aeroworks and Dietrich. If you would like to call about any questions you might have please don't hesitate. I have personally flown most all of those aircraft including the Slick. So I should be able to help you make a decision. I believe right now we have 3 Slicks Red/Black in stock right now. Thanks, Bryan Aero Graphix LLC 573-368-3600

no a covering iron won't fix it!!!
I had an 85cc Extra, had to return it due to multi covering issues. GMan bill came out to my house and looked it. It was bad. Supposedly mine had the wrong covering material?? Bill did not want to take it with him so I had to return it to LA. I got a refund for the plane but not the shipping. So I am still out $180.00 and a trip to LA from LV. I was on the pre-order list for a Slick and backed out of that deal. The size and specs are great, I hear they fly awesome!! But... http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...ing-check.html http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...-assembly.html |

Oh, another minor gripe:
My plane included a spinner(75cc). I thought oh I'll save 100.00 over other ARF's, it was a big pile of crap, 4"?? PLASTIC spinner!! The cone did not fit the backplate well. Total garbage!! No one in Vegas has a Dietrich that IH ave seen. I was hoping to see a slick at the TFC Norco, CA Throwdown(same weekend as Toledo) since Gman Bill is part of the circus but I did not see anyone flying one there. FYI:I have owned/built GS ARF's from: GP, AW, QQ, H9 and Dietrich(never really got to built) Last edited by Sevans16; 08-25-2009 at 08:05 PM. |

Dietrich 50cc 260, looks great, flies great, lots of compliments, minor issues nothing major would buy another.......some folks just have to gripe and whine no matter what. As for the planes for sale well, I see more names than Dietrich on the recycle list.

I thought about, but I am not the one who used the made up numbers to get my point across.
