They'll take it , I know people who are doing it, but Hitec says don't do it! If you want to check ,call or Email Hitec. Hate to see you fry a servo and lose an airplane.

I have seen one or two fry....but they could have been older ones...not really sure but a quick call to Hi-Tech will erase any doubt.

my servos are abt 2 yrs old.... wat abt the 7955's... they can take 7.4v?

yes, the 7955's are rated at 7.4 volts.

Yes with no centering problems and only maybe 10 flights less life than at 6v. So be prepared to fly them for another 4 years or so without slop or any issues.
