I have been using both for quite a while. The white doesn't seem to be quite as strong, however, it appears to be just a bit more pliable when dry. Neither will hold up well to UV and will yellow and degrade if the sun can get to it

I have been using beli-zell 10min glue with good results. I don't know if it's available in America.

I know this thread is regarding the use of Gorilla glue but I use this method for what ever type hinges or glue I'm using (excluding CA hinges). I use my wife's smelly stuff burner. Some just get a container lid and heat with a torch. Melt the vaseline and dip only the hinge area you don't want glued. Work the hinge back and forth a little and you're done with the hinge oiling. I found that a smear with a dip of your finger onto any adjacent areas you don't wany any stickum to be, and wha-la, it comes right off when your done.
