By using a wolverine switch and 2 6v nimh batteries will that be true redundancy for my receiver. Also, will the setup go like this batteries to the switch and then two outputs from switch to the receiver bat. port and an open port on receiver.

yes that switch is supposted to isolate both batteries, and yes your setup is correct.

You got the setup right.
Yes it is true redundancy. Great switch by the way.

Might feel better to some people to not have to buy a $65 switch. To me it is worth it to get the Wolverine if you are using 2 batteries. Mine drain evenly within .01v every time. ![]()

The Batshare and the Wolvarine are the same.
If you are using 2 NIMH batteries I think it's a must to use these items.

The battshare is limited to only like 6 amps. Even the Ultra is limited to 16 amps total. And you have to then connect it to mechanical switches, which is just adding 6 more points of failure(4 additional electrical connections and two switches).
There is no such thing as true redundancy - the closest you will get is having a back-up plane. However, the Wolverine is a big help. Also, if one battery fails that does not mean that you lose one input lead of power to the receiver like you would if you ran dual mechanical switches. The wolverine simply re-routes the power from the one good battery to however many output leads you happen to have(I believe you can have them install up to three output leads). The wolverine is good for up to 30 amps(15 amps per circuit).
