Default Krill 37% Yak55M with Moki 250 radial

Hi there, fellow modellers

This is my first thread, and post, here at flying giants forum

I have read many build threads here picking up inspiration along the way,
and it is always nice to read about other pilots planes
so now I thought I start my own thread on my latest plane...

Many threads start with the pilot unpacking the plane when received,
this one starts at the factory with some pictures of my plane fresh out of the moulds...

It is a slightly modified G-man scheme with a brighter yellow then stock...

I’m going to use 8911 JR servos all around with powerbox and LiPo:s
and because the Yak has a round nose there is only one engine type that I think do it justice...
the Moki/RCS 250 radial...

Here is some pictures that I received from Krill earlier this week

You will love this.
A friend of mine has the Comp Arf Pitts with the 250cc Moki radial.

It sounds AMAZING. You will lose your mind.

Yes the sound is fantastic !
time will tell if it has enough power to fly IMAC with it

Even if the power is a little on the low side,
I should at least get a 10 in sound score at IMAC competitions, hehe

There is a guy in Germany that fly’s in Sportsman with this plane and engine combo and are
happy with its performance,
so I think it will be enough for me as I’m going to fly it in Basic...

Take it from me, you'll have power. My Pitts is 51 lbs now and with a Bamula 32-14 it goes straight up and up and up. It does not however feel like it did with a DA-150 on Greeves. Your paying for the novelty of the Radial and the Awesome Sound !!! But it's now 4.5 lbs heavier no matter what you do.

Nice to hear that it is good power in your Pitts with the Moki 250
the Krill Yak is easy to get tail heavy so I need some extra weight in the nose anyway...
and I don’t think 4,5 lbs is a big deal when you get that fantastic sound in return
placing the rudder servos and LiPo:s behind the canopy in the fuselage should make it balance just right I hope...
