Default are my 7.4 volt 5200 LiO going bad?

got 2 of the fromeco 7.4 volt 5200, about 60-80 flights or so, a few weeks ago I noticed the only charge up to 8.38v rather than 8.40v as I recall being usual, is this a problem in its way? are they getting weaker? i put a load on then full (1amp) and they drop to about 7.6v or so

i use the ion cube charger...

No probably not, you probably just had a little more resistance in one wire. Which will cause the Ion Cube to read 8.4 but the battery to be at 8.38. One thing that you need to do is, do a load check directly at the battery, 7.6 under a 1amp load is too low,,,, unless you are going through a charge jack or bunch of other wire, which I am sure is the case. Again this is an example of resistance in the line. From what you are saying I think your batteries are fine. To ensure this,, the best way to do this is, again pull them out of the plane or get the Cube inside the plane where you can reach the plugs on the batteries and plug them directly into the Ion Cube this will get rid of all the wiring, which can sometime give the charger a slight false high.

One last thing with only 60 to 80 cycles I am pretty confident they are fine.

Kiosk, 8.38 is still really good.

Hope that helps
KC

you were spot on....i hooked directly to the batt deans and it checks out 8.38 now and 7.9 or so with 1am load (rather than 7.5-7.6) so i guess it most be the charge jack......is weird why the change all sudden, is not like I was checkin it any differently before, am using the SmartFly Switch Deans in Deans Out which i got from you guys.....

thanks man!
