Default new to giant scale, not to the Giants!

yeah, i have posted before, but i have just bought my first giant scale airplane...today! it is a 1/4 scale cub but i have no idea where it came from, i have no idea what brand it is should i have to buy a replacement part, and i don't know when to call the original "fabric" style covering a loss. the "fabric" that is used looks like a plastic table cloth, not what i thought would be a little closer to actual fabric. whom ever covered it originally did a bang up job. looks good enough in the broad sense, but up close you can see places not even covered. no overlap on the fuse, and around the tail group there are a few little places missed. nothing that would just out and out prevent the airplane from flying, but i also have not discovered everything. the airplane was kit built and has no allerons, has an off-set 2 part wing and springless gear. the fat tires are there to act as shocks, i assume. does anyone know who made this airplane? 3 ch, 102 ws, 2 piece wing that separates over the right side window. i am at a loss.

Can you post some photos of your plane?

Did you build planes the Spad way?

yeah, SPADs are my old fall back. i can defend that they are good enough for whatever you want to do. not as light as skinny balsa 3d planes, but for the road to the $1,000 3d bird you show off with a SPAD is cheaper to bounce while learning than a balsa and ply airplane.
after looking at my airplane for a few more minutes, and just happening to find the instructions online for the Sig 1/4 scale Cub i think that is what i have. it is funny that the guy chose a nicer than usual covering material but failed to separate the allerons, cover all of the surfaces of the lift struts, fair in the transition from fuselage to the tail group leaving it ugly, and not doing the 1/8th to 1/4 inch overlap on the covering seams. a well built structure finished out baddly. i can fix it! the 2 piece wing thing is due to the fact the ol' boy joined the center section to one wing half and then covered it that way. i see no real problem with it YET, but as i get into the airplane i will know for sure. btw, it has no hardware for the controls like push rods and servo tray. can i just do the redneck thing i know to do an just use arrow shafts for the rods to keep them strong? i am installing a 26cc engine in the nose, will i need to locate the servos in the normal places or counter the weight by moving the stuff rearward. the Cub has a short nose so it may not even need the servos to be moved!!!!!

I'm glad you found it's a Sig.
Well, I love the Spad thing too. Here is an example of a Cub I designed, maidened and helped to build:

It was made out of Coroplast and foam. It is really exciting the challenge of building, we had tons of fun in all the process and we learned a lot from it.
