2009 Chatham CAN-AM IMAC shindig
Hey kids...
Welcome to the Chatham CAN-AM in 2 weeks Sept 12,13, the last NC IMAC contest before the NC finals in Wheeler. Looking forward to seeing y'all and I promise better weather than last time. Well I hope.. We've got some nice prizes from Smart Fly and maybe more. There are registrations on both the IMAC website http://www.mini-iac.com/Home/Control...8/default.aspx and on the Canadian Scale Aerobatics website http://www.peneloperc.com/index.php?...=145&Itemid=51 For those that haven't been before, we have a nice 6 acre flying field with unobstructed approaches. We'll be flying 2 flightlines, with all classes and some Freestyle- I'll have a good sound system on hand to liven it up! There is plenty of room for camping, and we have a clubhouse building that you can charge batteries if needed. There will be a concession stand for lunches. If the group wants to again, we'll go for a good time dinner at the steakhouse... apparently they have beer... and maybe a drumset Mike M! In 2008 it got very wet and windy, lots of pilots came and tried to wait out the rain but that didn't work.
We still had a good time visiting RM classic cars and drooling over some very rare and gorgeous cars. |
