Default Manouvre 3 Intermediate known 2009

"If there is a rolling element (roll, point rolls or snap) at the apex of the loop, it must be centered in the loop and flown on the arc of the loop itself (Fig. 36). Flying the roll on a line at the apex of the loop is at least a two (2) point downgrade. If the roll is not centered, it must be downgraded .5 point for every five (5) degrees that it is off center. "

Were must the roll start and were must the roll be finished, is there any angles anywere????

The roll can start wherever you feel you want to start it as long as it ends at the opposing position on the radius..
i.e. if it starts at 5 O'Clock it should end at 7 O'Clock...So theoretically you should be on Knife Edge at the bottom of the loop

Thanks My opinion too.
Have had problems with judges setting higher scores if the roll were between 4 and 8 versus 5 and 7. Of course there will be problems to judge if the roll is on the arc if it is to short.

But I cant find anything in the different judge books other then not centered and not on the arc and off center that will downgrade my scores.
Trying to learning what right and wrong.

Sounds like your judges need to take a better peek at the rule book then...
5 and 7, 4 and 8 it doesnt have any bearing on how that figure should score...

Please keep in mind though, the bigger you make the roll portion the greater amount of time you
are opening up deductions for roll rate/radiai variation...
More often than less for the adverage pilot like myself it is more beneficial do a fast roll in the bottom of the
loop and deal with the 2 point downgrade over loosing 4 points for roll rate and radiai variation...This is just my opinion though..
