Makes you kinda quiver to think the rest of the airframe is that easy to come apart too huh, (any arf)? I would suggest while you wait, to wick thin ca into all joints you can reach....JMO
The important structures, i.e. everything but the pipe tunnel, are very well glued on the AW aircraft. I have yet to have to touch up a glue joint on any of my AW planes that I have owned since '06!!!

Wow! They must have dumped a TON of weight in the production version, because the prototype was pushing 30 pounds!!! I'm not surprised that they were able to get that much weight out, though - the Ultimate went from 43-44 to 39-40 pounds by the time it went to production.

[quote=Hammbone;866789]Cool.
I was talking with Rocco this morning, and he was saying that there are at least 4 of these Edge's flying now and everyone loves them. He said it is about 1-1/2 lbs lighter than the Extra 300 too.

Thats pretty awesome. A little diet work,a person could get 25lbs out of this plane.

So long as you can get it to CG without dead weight you should be good. On my current 260 with the DA100, my two A123 1100's ended up ALLLLLLL the way back in the tail, as did my rudder servo. I believe that Rocco upped the balsa quality, thus lowering its weight, which is why I needed the batteries back there. So hopefully it's the same sitch with the Edge...

I didn't get much done on the plane today, but I did get some of the graphics applied. These are some really nice looking graphics!

Too much talk... you don't need an engine to fly that baby... hand throw it....

No hovering allowed...

Just kidding... I want to see that guy tear the skies and turn some heads in Colorado... I'll try to get the maiden on video

You should love your setup. If you can get your cg ok without adding weight you should be much lighter than mine. Headed to the field after work tonight.
