Beside the servo tray. About 2" from the back of the tray. and it balances on the wing tube. I will go back with it later. Steve |

O.K. , good.
That means my CG will probably be fine if I just put my batteries all the way forward. Thanks, Jim P.S. You're not the Steve Johnson that I know from GA, are you? |

UPS brought me some parts today. I got my rudder servo, and the SWB rudder servo arm. The rudder is all hooked up now.
The engine was shipped today, and is due here on Wed. I've been working on the plane the last couple of days while I'm waiting on parts. I've completely gone over all the covering with an iron, I've installed graphics, I've sealed all the control surfaces at the hinge line. I installed the switches, and the fuel dot. I just finished installing the landing gear. I still have things that I can do while waiting for the engine to come. I plan on completing the radio installation this weekend. I will program the tx. I'll install the fuel tank, etc, etc. I plan to have everything besides the engine installation done within the next few days, then when the engine gets here on Wed, I can install the engine, balance the plane, and be RTF. Everything is going together well on this plane. It's amazing to me that everything lines up as good as it does. It's amazing to me how fast it goes together. Hopefully, I'll be flying "Pumpkin" next weekend. I'm looking forward to it. Jim |

Great job - thanks for sharing!!
![]() This is going to be my next plane....haven't decided to go ARF or ARC though. I would knda like to do another Red Bull scheme. With the great scheme on this bird however, AeroWorks makes it very tempting to do the ARF version, and get to flying alot sooner! Keith |

Aeroworks has come up with a neat new tool for us to use when balancing their airplanes. It's called the CG Buddy. It fits over the wing tube and one of the alignment pins, between the wing and the fuse. Then you just use the supplied handle and string to lift and check the CG.
Now, balancing your plane is a simple one man job. This tool was included with my Edge, and I assume it will also be included with any new planes they release. Pics are worth a thousand words: Jim Last edited by Hammbone; 09-06-2009 at 05:42 PM. |

I wish. I'm definitely ready to fly it. I think it's going to be a fun plane!
I've just about done everything that I can do until the engine gets here on Wed. I'm hoping to maiden it next Sun. (I'll be out of town on Sat) Jim Last edited by Hammbone; 09-07-2009 at 05:44 PM. |
