Default Carden 260 Build

Alrighty, I am itching in my pants right now because my builder, John Monaghan, is beginning to finish my new 260. I started a thread here on what I did on it because he was working on Mac's B-29 but I can not find that same thread, so I figured I would just start another one. So to recap what has been done already. The fuse is basically done minus the hatch and cowl attached. Fin is attached and glued and rudder is done. Pretty much all that is left is the wings and stabs. Today he is working on the stabs and hopefully later this evening I can get him to post some pictures. For those of you that do not know John Monaghan he is an awesome builder and probably the only one I trust right now to build my planes. His largest accomplishment was recently building and finishing the new B-29 for Mac Hodges from the ground up. The fit and finish he does is just really nice. I am very particular on the finish of my planes and he gets it done. My last Carden 330 he built for me was done perfectly and got a lot of looks and compliments. He's been building for years and just does a great job. With what is left we are pushing to finish this in about 2 1/2 weeks. I have several fly-ins to go to in October and will need this plane. SO without further adu, we'll start the posting of the pictures this evening.

Last night we worked on the stabs. Got the servo pockets all done and sheeted them. Hopefully John will put some pictures up sometime this morning. Today he'll be working on the wings and getting them sheeted.

Yeah, I talked to John this morning and he said he is going to post some here in a few. I'll try and get him to post some pictures of the fuse to.

Well to make Joe feel a little better. I consulted the master (Joe Stek) on how to lighten a motorbox. Joe sent me the pictures of his and this is what I came out with.

Nope, I'm going with the same scheme again. I got a lot of compliments on it and it shows upreally well in the air. I have another 260 coming from Carden and I'll flip the black and silver. This is what the end result will look like. John built this plane for me last year.
