Ok, well, I've spent basically the last 5 hours driving, waiting, fussing, unpacking, and inspecting!!! No wonder why I'm so hungry..........
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ok, so I get to Roadway, aka YRC now, and I see a crate sitting on the dock, which looked like it was in good shape, but that was only on 1 side....... Once I got in there, and they got all paperwork ready, I met them out by the ramp to check it all out. I couldn't believe what I seen when the truck driver was backing down the ramp with crate on the lift. I didn't see 1 fork hole in the crate!!!! UNREAL!!!!! So, I knew that things would be cool inside!!!! So, I took all the screws out of the lid, and pulled the top off. Seen an ASSLOAD of styrofoam, bubble wrap, and cardboard. Pick a few pieces up and check out. Everything was individually wrapped up and packed. So, my buddy Danny Gray showed up with his full size work van, and we proceded to load it up. Hauled ass up to my place here, and unpacked. The rudder was removed so that it could fit in the crate. New hinges are glued into the rudder. This weekend, I will glue the rudder on, after I work the vertical fin on top to allow for unbinding rudder operation. I did happen to drill out 1 of the dowel's that was plugged up for the 3W 157 motor. I will have NO problems with the new larger 3" chamber stock mufflers on this bird!!!! So, I stuck the cowl on, wings, stabs, wheel pants and set it up on the crate. The crate will be my work bench while the basement is in disarray. Fortunately, I have a 2 1/2 car GEEEEE-RAGE, and the Explorer will have to sit out for the time being. My little grocery getter can stay in the geeeee-rage along with the Dalton on the crate. So, onto the slought of pix..............

Thats what happens when you decide to try inverted hovering with no VPP, or an engine that is running at that moment of time......

Trying to figure out which tailwheel assy to go with........ There are so damn many choices, I'm seeing wrong numbers for the pricing!!!! I'll just say this..... The carbon leaf stuff is OWT!!!!! No way, no how!!!! I'd break one in 20 flights, and that is NO JOKE!!!! I've got an RC Blimp on my 35%, plus one here for a 20# airframe that I was going to put on my Illusion Bipe, but never did.......
Any one have any good positive feedback on what all is out there........

Damn Chris. I hate to see the pics of the Carden all banged up. That plane had personality, and a sick scheme!! I even put in some work on it. LOL remember?
Dalton's looking good! You wasted no time in slapping the 157 on!!

I know you got a little blood, sweat, and Capt's Shine in the baby Carden!!! It will be back, rest assured!!!! No matter what I think about, the baby Carden is tops on the list!!
I ain't playing games on the Dalton!!! HEHEHE!!! But I had to go to the hobby shop today and get 1/4" wheel collars..... Fortunately enough, I had a pair of 4 1/2" wheels here. If I had to buy wheels, I would have been PISSED!

R/C Blimp went belly up a couple years ago. I really loved his TW assemblies. I have them on 3 of my planes
