Default 3W 50 low rpm

prop size in manual and all I see here and other engine manufacturer is 22x10 or 23x8. I only turn a Xoar 22x10 around 5300 - 5400 rpm. We put on a Master Airscrew 20x10 and know we get 6400 rpms is this normal.

Thanks
Chuck

My 40cc engines get mid 7k RPM on a 20x10, and the 50cc's get 6800 - 7200 on a 22x10. I would expect you would swing that Master Airscrew 20x10 near 8000 rpm at least. The Xoar 22x10 should be closer to 6500. Something is not working on your engine.

How is your fuel flow? Is the carb clean? Is your ignition working correctly and timed correctly? Are your needles tuned properly, or does the engine bog and 4-stroke anywhere above 1/4 throttle? What exhaust are you using, is it choking the engine?

Needles too rich, timing out of whack, or a clogged carb inlet screen can all limit RPM. Systematically check these items and you will likely find the culprit.

What kind of muffler are you using? I was getting about 6400 on a Xoar 22x10 with a Pitt's muffler. If you use premium gas you'll get a few more (like several 100) rpm. Does it draw fuel and start easily? Carb adjusted properly?

Muffler is Jtec standard. I use premium gas Bel-Ray MC 1 at 50:1. Just got a Mejzlik 22x8 Tach at 6720 at home, trying it out Sun.
