Wow there must have been a lot of current going through the servo extension. The insulation is all melted. Talk about cooked.

so what happened to cause this? they stall @ 4.2 amps @ 6V. The 22 awg wire is rated at 7 amps.

Must have shorted out the power when the case melted.

not shure, and hitec wont say it was 1 of 2 servos on a 35% aeroworks rudder pull pull system. they were on a jr matchbox and this one was the second one in line. this burnt up while flying. we could smell it burning when i did a slow pass. when i opened the canopy you should have seen the smoke rolling out. the first in line was perfect nothing wrong, so it couldnt have been a amp draw problem. it was more like a servo problem. i have seen so far apx 1/2 dozen of these servos burn up. 1 burnt when the plane was turned on go figure that. just gave it power and poof up in smoke this one is the only one that has done it to me. the others i saw were in other peoples planes
