Default Futaba guys - need a hand. 2.4 channel order.

Ok, so I'm setting up my 3DHS 103' Extra, and I have an 8 Channel R6008HS 2.4 rec. slapped onto a Smartfly EQ6 (for matching the ail servos and rud if I add a second servo)

When I set the radio (12Z) to 2.4 multiple , The radio asked if it could reassign channel order.
I said sure.

But I have no idea what the order is supposed to be?!

I used the normal 1& 2 ELE, 3 RUD 4&5 ailerons 6 Throttle.

But my elevators are WAY off on sync.

Anyone know what to do here?

go into your radio menus and select the linkage menu. then look for your program called function. go in to it and you should see it all listed right there and you can change it around to what ever ya like. keep in mind that your radio sends the information in packets and the packets contain information for 4 channels at a time. so it is best to set up your radio like with channels performing the same opperation on the same series of for
example
1 ail
2 ail
3 ail
4 ail
5 ele
6 ele
7 rud
8 rud
9 throttle
10 choke.

the nice thing with the 14 and 12 channels radios is the channel mapping or servo grouping as most call it and can be set to what ever you like. any channel doing any thing.
call me if ya need help

Only bad thing with this setup, is that He is only using a 8 channel rcvr. But this would work with the 14 channel rcvr as you suggest.

The 2.4GHz channel assignments vary depending on the wing/tail selections for the model. I've attached the latest description for the 12Z software update to this message (from the FASST download site); starting on page 9 are the tables that show the default 2.4GHz assignments, which should be different from the tables for PCM in your printed manual. As others have pointed out, you can easily see them and change them around in the Function Menu.

I don't know if the channels are grouped three or four to a frame. I've seen both on the web but I don't think I've ever seen an official statement from Futaba. I've currently got a 9CA Super and a 12FGA; I love Futaba's transmitters, but their manuals do sort of s*ck.
Hope this helps.
Thanks a lot.

What about the two on/off channels? Are they in a separate frame or stuck in with the others somehow? Also, do you know if the FASST protocol sends all three packets (all 12 channels) every hop, or if it hops between the three packets?
Thanks a lot.
