There are many things that make me happy to say "Hey I'm from Ohio!"
And these next two weeks make up 90% of those reasons!! That's right, Ohio IS the heart of it all for the next two weeks! Ohio hosts some of the best full scale and model aviation events in the country for the next two weekends! This coming weekend Sept 3 - 7 you have two amazing choices. The 14th Annual D.O.G.S. Giant Scale Air show held at National Museum of the United States Air Force. If you like large R/C Warbirds, Jets, Helicopters, 3D, Pattern and a world class museum full of the real thing then this is the show not to miss!! in it's 14th year, the D.O.G.S. show is a classic. Cool sleepy! Sounds like loads of aviation fun, wish I could make it out to Ohio to go to those events, but I'm stuck in st Louis for now:-(
actually speaking of airshows, towards the end of september at the Scott airforce base here in st Louis, we have a big Airshow too! The coolest part is that our show-me R/C airshow demo team gets to do rc demos during the airshow! Sweet! |

yeah cracky... i'm in the same boat! with the HF and then the long trip to NC for the Fly For Tots the following weekend, dogs will not be possible for me either.

The D.O.G.S. will have a really good show. We have been to it several times and if it were closer ( about 700 mi each way) we would do both the DOGS and HUCKFEST, But since we are comitted to the HUCKFEST or just comitted. we can only do one.
See you all at the HUCKFEST IN OHIO!!!!! We have limited room in the trailer so if anybody would like us to bring a plane or muffler ( mufflers need to be built) and save shipping charges please let us know before the 9th. Average savings on shipping one of our planes is about $150.00 Thanks Al

DOGS is only 3.5 or so hours away from me and I'd love to hit both however, the money says it's the Huckfest only for this year. The DOGS would require a night or two say to make it all worth the drive, Nappy OH10 is hardly a drive from Ft Wayne.....

 Dont have a GPS so I will keep looking for the address! As big as the event is, why dont they list this or a directions link via mapquest, this may bring more civilians !!! John |
