Default Thanks Horizon!

Due to an operator-induced deadstick, the rudder on my old H9 Cap contacted the desert floor at a velocity which exceeded design specs. One 8411 was stripped, the other was dead - held center but would not respond to TX.

These are the original 8411's I bought back in the day, plus they were crash-damaged, so I fully expected to have to pay up.

Sent them off to Horizon, along with my cc# and a letter explaining myself. Two weeks later they are back at my door. New gears in the stripped servo, and a NIB 8411 to replace the dead one. The invoice said the stripped servo now has new gears and tests fine, no charge for the gears or labor, and the dead servo was replaced "in the spirit of customer service." No charge for anything!

I have never had any problems with Horizon, but this was a very nice surprise. Thanks Horizon!

Bob

Kudos to Horizon. Great peeps to deal with. Have had similar experiences. Have also had higher level out of this world customer experiences also. (I'm not allowed to talk about that though)

well as i've said in other threads...you are paying a premium for their products in case you werent aware....so the customer service experience should be expected, not flabbergasted

Try calling about a 8611 that needs new gears and see what they tell you.
