2009 DOGS show gets massive crowds!
I just got home from the 2009 D.O.G.S. show. I wish I could have stayed for tomorrows flying, but a nasty cold that was getting worse by the minute made me leave a day early.
But today, WOW what a great day of flying! The weather was perfect, everybody was in a great mood, and over one hundred pilots came out today to take part in the show. As we were all getting our planes ready at about 8am this morning, we noticed that there was starting to be a a small audience. At around 9am, a crowd started to form. By 10am, the bleachers were starting to be packed. By 11am the bleachers, and the entire grounds were almost over flowing with people, and by the time the noon time Demo started, the entire complex was filled and the stands started to look like a NASCAR race! I have never been to an RC event that had this many spectators. Young to old, everyone was smiling and really enjoying the show. All the demo pilots took advantage of the attention and put on one heck of a show! I would like to say thank you to the members of the Dayton Ohio Giant Scalers, the National Museum of the United States Air Force and everyone that helped make the 2009 D.O.G.S. Airshow an amazing event. And that is the reality of the D.O.G.S. show, it is not a fly-in, it is an Air Show. And it should not be missed! Once again, instead of rambling on, I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.

PLEASE tell me that someone got a video of Jason and Seth's flight!?!?!?!??? Looks like they put on a killer demo! Wish I could be there. Keep having fun guys!

Yep maidened the plane! I think it will be a sick plane! But I was having electric problems with my aileron servos... I need to be at a home field and work it all out. But I can tell the plane will be a Jammer. Forrest's plane pancaked when his motor seemed to bog down and almost quit in a low harrier. The damage did not look too bad. All the guys paid their respects by doing the Viking hover over the dead plane. Nice work boys!
