Hi Does anyone have experience of the Aerotech Yak 54 50cc? mine just does not fly great, i have tried c of g at manual position and forward and aft of this just is way too sensitive even with low rates of 20mm on elevator and 30% expo.
I have since heard other people here in the uk having the same problem, does anyone in the us know of this problem?. Thanks Jt |

Make sure the bearings didn't come apart in the elevator control horns. My stock horns did that, causing a lot of play and increased elevator null zone.

I have owned this plane put the gas tank under the wing tube, balance and fly .this plane is very sensative to balance .I promise you that if the elevator is sensative it is tail heavy.

Hello
Use more expo and check the CG. I know a guy a few years back at an IMAC contest that flew it. He loved it. Try contacting the old owner of Aerotech and maybe thay have some input. |

I flew the 35% Yak from Aerotech and it was very stable and flew quite nicely,
You are tail heavy period. if you check the CG from the plans , there are chances its not right and simply add nose weight for the time being and try it again. Roger

Hi,
i have had a few more flights this week and have got it somewhere near now, the c of g is definateley not where it is stated in the manual, its been a case of fly it move the battery and fly it. I think that there must be a fault with my airframe as it seems too critical to get it feeling somewhere near comfortable not like my 2mtr sukhoi or Extra. definately not my fave model. Thanks for your replies JT |

Hi all,
I've just bought the AeroTech YAK 54, unfortunately without an assembly manual. ![]() Could anyone tell me, how I could get a hold of one ? Thanks a lot. Taurus |

Hi Lads
It has been a while since i posted about my probs with my Yak, it is now sorted thanks to a clubmate. The tailplane incidence was 2 degrees out , he corrected it and now flies perfect. I would suggest people that are experiencing my problems check your incidence. John |
