Ok guys Im new to gas planes and the more I read the more I get overwhelmed with power systems...
Heres what I have... Pilot 50cc Extra 260 Dl 50 8611s on ailerons and elevators and 8711 for rudder Dx7 AR9100 Smartfly ignition cutoff Ok what batteries should I get. I am looking at the Fromeco Iron corp extreme. should I run a reg. 1 or 2 batts ? Should I run the switch that comes with the 9100 or... and do I need a separate switch for the ignition ? What ignition batt? Oh and whats a good break in prop for the dl ? sorry for all the questions and I have reserched but with so many options I feel like bludgeoning myself the the keyboard ![]() Thanks for any help Last edited by Bigugly; 09-06-2009 at 09:36 PM. http://www.fromeco.org/Products/01FR...2/Default.aspx Then I'd order one of these for the ignition with a separate switch. http://www.fromeco.org/Products/01FR...8/Default.aspx I just run the regular cermark switch for the ignition which is only about $16.00 at the LHS. Use the switch that came with the 9100rx but realize you need to unplug your batteries if your going to let the plane sit for a long period of time because the fail safe switch constantly draws a small amount of current. Keep it simple! I've used those batteries quite a lot and they work absolutely great. They are a Fromeco product so you know the quality is good. You don't need any regulators with the Iron Corps or the Iron Corps Extreme batts. I'm not sure on a break in prop for the DL, probably a 22x8 like the DA-50 uses I would guess but others may know better. |

If you are in the market for some Li-ion. The 42 percent product batteries are good. If you need some send me a pm with you contact info. I can make you a combo package deal with regulators and batt. if you are intrested.
