Default Single AR9000 ok in a 35% plane?

I bought a used QQ Yak 101 inch ready to fly and it has a Spektrum AR9000 connected to two switches and two A123 batteries. The previous owner flew it this way, but I just replaced the hitec 5645 wing servos with 7955tg's, so that now it has 7955's all the way around with a standard on throttle. Will the AR9000 handle the current draw or would it be smart to upgrade to an AR9100 powersafe receiver?

I have a 35% 260, 5955's all the way around except rudder, that's an 8711. I have the older AR9000 that does not have the 'quick-connect' firmware. I am running dual A123 1100's through a wolverine(which is a dual failsafe switch with two power output leads to the receiver). I have been flying like this for a year, hard flying, and have not had a single problem. The only difference from your setup is that I am running a Fromeco DC-up. It is like having a third battery and third power input lead for those really demanding maneuvers. It's cheap insurance and I recommend one for your bird, although I still don't think what you have will be a problem.

I have 2 35% planes running on the AR9000 without any type of power expander. Not an issue at all with me running 8411 and 8611A's in those planes. The Dcup would be a nice asset though.

Seth Arnold flies his QQ 120" Yak-54 on one AR 9000. You can talk with him (3D-Seth) I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you about his setup. You'll be fine with one on a 101!

I have a 35% TOC Yak with one AR-7000 and a single 4300 mah battery. I have been flying it like that for a couple years now. You will be fine.

Thanks for the replies. I just need to replace the worn out wing servos and go fly. Can't wait!

I have JR 921's (same receiver as AR9000) in both my Carden Extra 35% and QQ Yak 102. Work great.
