Hey Dwayne nice boat you have there. umm I mean bipe......how are the wires fixed. Mine used to be a pain to set up but once cut to length I used turnbuckles and some split pins and fitting / adjusting was done in seconds. I would use both wires . They are critical in high G moves....or dont fit em and prove me right.....your choice.

There are a couple of these planes here that were using all the wires in the kit, and they broke some....I would highly recommend you use the 4 per side if you really like this plane.(2 each way crossed, left and right side)
One guy flew it w/o wires and it didnt last 2 minutes... QQ's python was designed NOT to have wires, this one was designed to use wires, although they are testing new wireless wings as we speak. |

I like your Red Bull scheme. I did a scratch build project with a Red Bull Pitts that was all Red, see avatar. I also scratch built the Pitts 12 in 1/3 scale.
I would add 2 comments to your build. If the designer of your Pitts intended for flying wires to be used then you need both the upper and lower set. Secondly, I don’t think the carbon rods will work. The wing of any airplane flexes, this includes a mono wing and a biplane wing. By using carbon rods you take out the flex. When I wire a wing I get the wire just snug and not tight, this allows for some flex. The wire will flex the carbon rod will not. |

they are threaded to 6-32 heavy duty ball links and attached to the wings/LG by metal bracket with nuts and bolts.....i guess i will have to use them damn wires...
