The beta version is nice - we installed it on half a dozen machines and it's running fine. I'm not willing to pay money for any more windows versions though!
 Leopard and Linux for me.

I have converted about a 3 weeks ago. IT came out on MSDN about a few weeks ago. So far good stuf. much faster than vista. If you are on Vista i would move over fast.

Been running Windows 7 RC now for 4 months, it's what Vista should have been.
All 200 computers at my firm are on XP, but I will slowly migrate to Windows 7, but plan to keep XP around as long as possible. Right now I have images for all my machines, when it becomes difficult to image newer computers that are running 7 over to XP, I will migrate.

 Buy a current model refurbished off the apple store website. Same machines, same warranty, same support, 10-20% cheaper. I bought the 09 nehalem quad refurbished and am extremely pleased.

I will probably upgrade my vista machine, but I'm worried about driver support because Im running on a laptop. I'm hearing that W7 will actually run on the same machine faster. I have to say though after getting an itouch and now an iPhone I'm really interested in a mac and that will probably be my next hardware purchase.

Does anyone know if windows 7 will run mastercam X3, autocad 2008, and Mach 3 (cnc program)? There were problems running these on vista. I got a quad core processor and 4g ram I'd like to make use of.

I've been debating between Apple and W7 for a while now.... I tried the origional beta version released via bit torrent, and was pleased... and it came down to if I got a new computer or not. So far, I'm just going to upgrade my laptop and possible buy a Mac in the future....
