Did you and the other pilot have a spotter Ken? That question was asked to me after the accident. In my case it would of helped as I did not have one when the accident happened.

Well would The guys AMA card pay for it?

let us all know what you find out on your tx/rx when it comes back. i fly an old carden pocketed ex300s that i have rescued and restored and i use a 9303 convert to 2.4 with a 921 rx with 2 sats. i also use this tx with my 600nsp and a pattern ship. well so far i have had 4 hits on the radio sys and i fly in the middle of no where okla. old abandoned air strip. any ways first time was in my 2m pattern ship . done it 3 times in 3 diff flights b4 i went back to 72 sys. come to find out it was the ys 1.20 causing the interference. bearing wore. dosent do it on the fm stuff. so im gonna fly it until the engine of plane is gone. the other day i had just finished the restore on my 15 year old carden and was on the 2nd flight of the day when i went to do a simple loop and it just started to roll on me. then stopped. funny thing is that that is one of the spots that my pattern was messing up . well it came out of it and while i was on final appro. it all of a sudden rolled to the left then came back. i havent flown it sense. now i dont have a very exp. setup. just 1 4300 ni-mh batt and some jr-nes servos and im kinda new to giant setup so i dont know mutch about it yet but i still believe it had something to do about the radio sys. well that really bites about your 2 planes. its always a sad thing to hear and see. good luck on your new carden.

I've had my plane cut in half before...But it was an old OMP profile and the perpetrator was my buddy with his OMP profile. We just laughed it off, but there was no real $$$ involved. And unfortunately, in most cases, there's no one to blame. You just gotta hold yer head up...pony up the cash, AND BUY A 100cc BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive had a few mid aors over the years and hat 2 planes fly away never to be seen again only ever had 1 glitch with 2.4 and that was a brown out with a spektrum AR500 reciver caused be a dead battery model was written off but was only a 40size glow model. But just remenber all models have a use by date some is just longer than others. Alos don't fly what you can't afford to loose.
regards Bill

I wont take my airplane up at the local clubs unless the sky is mine for this reason. I'm flying a $4,000 airplane and I'll be damned if Im gonna lose it to some .40 size glow worth $400 running into me hovering or not. Some of these weekend warriors have no situational awareness whatsoever. I get nervous just having in the pitts even, its not even safe there the way some yahoos fly.

Same here. One loss was enough for me!

Isn't AMA just an expensive magazine that redirects accident claims to homeowners insurance.
