Everybody needs time-off to unwind, go fix a hanger rash, and let go some stress. Hug the wife , kiss the babies. Come back with a plan and a smile.

JJ46 I am glad you liked the post. I thought that we needed to lighten up a little and have some fun. That is what this hobby is all about. Some where along the way we have gotten sidetracked. The individuals who are responsible for this side track need to look in the Mirror and ask themselves is it worth it? Come on lets have some fun and if you don't want to have fun, then say in bed tomorrow, the next day and the day after that cause we have had enough of your insanity. Call Michael Jackson doctor he can help you to ligthen up.. What Have I said------------------ I have lost my grip.

Dadgum. Is it still gonna go down the sewer ? I posted just before the meeting that I would be "blown away" if it worked out and then said I was after the meeting.
I may have spoken too soon even though I knew better. I take it back. And am not too suprised either.

Baj, Chane, Don, if you haven't as yet done so, I think you need to contact the AMA and get a copy of the club's bylaws that they have on record. You should check out post #82; the AMA's copy may be the only official bylaws in existence. Once you've got the bylaws, read them over and see if they spell out a method by which the membership can remove club officers and board members from office, in case these guys don't resign as required by the AMA for your club to retain its charter. Also, see if the bylaws have any provisions for calling emergency meetings; you're likely to need one.
I think the club membership needs to take immediate action to remedy this situation, but they can only do so within the structure of the existing bylaws. If the bylaws don't mention any of the above, at your next meeting you should move to amend them to include a method of impeachment, and hope that it passes so that you can then remove the existing officers and board while you've still got a club. Good luck. NormS

I hope so. So many who have more time and $$$ for The Hobby than I do and they still have a problem FLYING. I feel for 'em all.
I still wish SSRCC all the best luck. I still have hope that it will work out for them.

We don't need Baj here..his club needs Baj here...but, we would like him here. And, if he's not willing to lead his club back, I'm sure there are others who can step up and do the same. Leadership is not a one man game. Leaders are born and I'm sure Baj is one of us.
Baj, you have been summoned. Lead your club. Your club needs your leadership. |

I think Baj will be back. I just think that the tone here, if not at SSRC needs to stay as civil as it can. Do not fuel the fire. It appears it was brought up at the meeting that some were hurt by comments on this sight. Some may deserve the hot end of a poker while others may have been caught up in the stink and were looking for a reason to support one side or the other. Those in the middle of it are most able to make the call on who the bad apples are.
I really think Baj is frustrated with the tone. He strikes me as a communicator and a facilitator. Not a dicktater. (spelling changed intentionally) We should not make his job harder with comments that are like shouting fire in a theater. For those that would flame these comments, I am not a push over or a really passive person. When I join a fight, I go to win. I love a good argument, too. I also know that Hap Ki Do works. Use the attack of the enemy against them and you will be less likely damaged and put out less energy. Let them exhaust themselves while you step away and slam them on the mat. This can be done with words and actions and that is how this battle will be won. IMO. Baj, I know you are still reading the forum. Stay centered and act. Do not let people cause you to react. Think Chess.

Following up on my CYA post - I think he's just looking for leverage to put himself in a better bargaining position. I think he's getting bad advice and is foolish for running for office. The AMA has already lawyered up - you can bet that. By pushing the issue, he's forcing the AMA's hand. He should just man up and just not run for 'personal reasons'. But if what some of the other posts are saying - revoking his (and potentially others) AMA membership for violating AMA guidelines is a potential course of action - I think the AMA should jump all over this.
Jim, very true. Baj is very diplomatically stepping away when the tone gets rough. This is what the current membership is lacking and Baj is showing how true leaders should act. |

It is understandable when tempers flare in the face of blatant dishonesty. Everybody take a deep breath.
Civility will and must prevail - as I have said before, the overwhelming majority of SSRCC members are good people. The issues are the result of a small group of individuals who have ruled through threats and intimidation. Now that the light has been turned on them they can't get away with it anymore. Perhaps it was naive to think that they would accept that their run was over. Despite all this, progress has been made - it is obvious that there is work to do - we will fight on. |
