Ken,
I am these days all about being cheap and on a strict budget; Would you consider selling me your old servos? or parts to complete the rebuild. The work has started; I will be ordering the canopy, cowl, etc can you let me know before I order the stuff. I will start posting the complete rebuild. It may serve as encouragement for rebuilding a plane after a serious crash. That is what I have found is good about a balsa plane, it can always be rebuilt sometimes even better than the new one. Folks on a tight budget please take note on how to get in GS without breaking the bank. No better way to be ahead of the game than to rebuild one out of the can.

P.S Folks,

For starting out you learn more about your plane while rebuilding and you would build up confidence in flying knowing that after a crash you could rebuild it or improve upon the design. To me a beautiful bird like Kens H9 Su was too sad to see it waste away, it will fly again. The hobby is not just about flying it is also about building, maintenance, budget and repair among other things. You can say I specialize in rebuilding, and those who lack the experience in a rebuild will find the tips valuable. We all learn from each other, and in this thread you will find information that may end up saving you a considerable amount of money.

Regards.

Hey Baj, It looks as though Ken has all the pieces laid out for you! This could be one heck of a re-build thread.

[quote=ken crane;938086]Ken, you and I think alike. Years ago, I had a plane that I kept bringing back from the dead. The guys at the field would crap their pants a week after they swore this plane got written off. I had fun repairing and ressurecting, bringing it back, and flying the living piss out of it trying to break it in half. It was, and is a good feeling, knowing you can repair or ressurect a pile of wood, or fiberglass, and get it flying properly again.

Dave, You just asked the most important question. I see you have already received some great advice. Just keep asking questions and you will learn. If you like something try it. If you don't like it S_ _tcan it.

That's what we all did.
