I PURCHASED THE FLITON INSPIRE 90 MAINLY BECAUSE OF ITS EXCELLENT COVERING AND OVERALL QUALITY APPEARANCE. FIRST INSTALLED OS 90 TWO STROKE AND QUICKLY FOUND THIS UNDER POWERED SO I TURNED TO OS 1.20AX. I MOUNTED THIS ENGINE UPRIGHT. LARGELY BECAUSE I THINK IT IS A BEAUTIFUL ENGINE, THE PLANE IS FOR PATTERN PRACTICE AND LIKELY VERY FEW FOLKS WILL EVER SEE IT EXCEPT ME AND REALLY HIGH UP BIRDS. VERY GLAD I DID SO. USED OS ALUMINUM PREDRILLED MOUNT. I DID NOT LIKE THE SET UP ON THE ELEVATOR WITH ONE SERVO AND A WOOD DOWEL CONNECTING TWO ELEVATOR HALVES SO I INSTALLED A SECOND SERVO IN THE TAIL FOR AILERVATOR SET UP. I ALSO REWORKED THE LANDING GEAR AFTER THE COMPOSITE GEAR FAILED ON THE FIRST LANDING. IT WAS A GOOD LANDING TOO! I AM USING THE INDESTRUCTIBLE (ALMOST) DUBRO FIBERGLASS GEAR MOVED BACK ONE INCH. SO THIS PLANE IS MODIFIED!
THE END RESULT. I GOT A WORLD CLASS PATTERN PLANE WITH ALMOST UNLIMITED PERFORMANCE.........RIGHT UP THERE IN TOP PER CENT OF LARGER PATTERN TYPES. FLYS LIKE ON RAILS WITH UNLIMITED VERTICAL USING APC 15X12 PATTERN PROP. STILL SLOWS DOWN TO A WALK AND EASY TO LAND. ONLY VICES ARE TAKE OFF......DO NOT JAM ON FULL POWER ON TAKE OFF!! HALF THROTTLE IS PLENTY FOR TAKE OFF WITH THIS ONE! I LOVE THIS PLANE! IN SPITE OF ALL THE REWORK NEEDED......AND USING LARGER ENGINE THAN THEY SAID..........I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE TO PUT ON THE SHELF FOR WHEN THIS PILOT HAS A BAD DAY. IT HAS LONG SEEMED TO ME WHEN I FIND A PLANE I REALLY LOVE.......SUDDENLY THE KIT DISAPPEARS........LIKE THE GREAT PLANES FOKKER DR1 DID! AND THE DIRTY BIRDY! SHORTLANDINGS!!

Sounds great! That is a very nice plane and I agree it is too bad that it is off the market now.
By the way, here is the Dirty Birdy kit: http://www.bridiairplanes.com/hangar/dirtybirdy60.html You should post some pictures of your plane when you get a chance! p.s. typing is all CAPS makes the words hard to read and is the forum equivalent to SHOUTING. **edit** I was thinking of a different plane that is no longer available. The Inspire is now imported by Advantage Hobby, and is sold here: http://www.advantagehobby.com/produc...cat=175&page=1
