You can always set a password that will render the radio useless to a thief. Makes it so they cannot program anything.

it's a great feature to be sure.
i still have not set one up, but may do so. thing is, i think it was here on FG that a 14MZ was reported stolen.....last one i recall was from the NW states where a guy left his case sittin in the pits......naturally it wasn't there when he got back, but noone ever fessed up out of the fellows who were out there. this CreepBay deal looks suspicious |

It says on the screen the owners name is Richard Paul
found this on google and sent a e-mail to him let ya know what becomes of it.. The Goldberg Staudacher S-300 is a high-quality kit, is easily assembled and has great flight characteristics that advanced pilots will appreciate. I solicited assessments from Dan Carrozza, Richard Paul, Vince Perillo and Jim Onorato of the WRAMs, as all had opportunity to take a test flight. All, me included, give high marks in all areas and recommend that a larger version be considered. Last edited by whatdoyawant; 09-15-2009 at 08:39 PM. |

that doesn't mean anything if the Tx was stolen and the new user put his name on it.
from the exchange between the buyer and seller, the whole thing stinks. the name on the radio isn't a forum username either. if this is stolen gear, then i hope someone who lost it sees it and some good comes from it...........rather doubt it at the same time, but there is always a chance. |

whatdo,
i know what you are thinking, but is the sellers real name Richard Paul? if it was he should have no prob sending the password to the buyer right? or did he sell a hot box for someone unknowing that it was hot? or was this Tx lifted from someone and then the thief used it and set his own password as it was not set when he stole it? see the variables here? |
