Flyinggiants.com is known as a place to come to share good times, a place to come to make friends, a place to get or give information about this hobby that we all love.

Sometimes Flyinggiants.com is more than all this.

Sometimes Flyinggiants.com is a place that can make a difference.

Early this summer it was brought to my attention by Ben fisher that F3A Team USA was pretty much paying their own way to go and represent the USA at the F3A World Championships. Knowing how special our community is, I decided to try and do a fund raiser for the team.

As most of you know, the response to the drive was amazing. Giants members donated whatever they could. For me though, more than the money coming in, the fact that Giants members were actually doing something to help made me feel really proud to be involved with this site.

At the end of the drive, YOU GUYS, the Giants members raised $4027.44 that was sent as a check to the team in memory of our friend Kirby McKinney. Also I believe around $600 was sent directly to the team for a total of over $4600!

The fund raising drive should make every single Flyinggiants.com member feel proud. You guys stepped up and made a difference. And to me that makes this place so much more than just a website. We are truly a community.

At the Ohio Huckfest, Tim and Andrew Jesky stepped up and presented all of YOU a wonderful plaque that thanks all of YOU for your contribution. All four team members signed a picture from the runway of the Championships. I accepted the award for all of you. I wish every single FG member could have been standing there to accept the award, because you all deserve it.

I think what I am going to do is ship the amazing award to Jim Bourke, and ask that he proudly displays it in the KnifeEdge Software offices. That way people can see what kind of community Flyinggiants.com is!

So guys, take a moment and really think about how awesome you all are.

Take a look at YOUR award. You guys deserve it.

It sure doesn't get any better than that! I have seen, over the years, the FG community come together like this in so many other ways, helping people out!

What an amazing group of folks we have here on FG and I am so proud to be a part of it!

Sleepy already did give an award to those who gave. It's the American flag with the F3A on it in your awards showcase down below your name.
