I change out my fromeco 2600 mah 7.4v battery after one year of use. The battery is inexpensive so why not change it out regularly.

They are in everything I own. From 90 class helos to the 35% Yak. I am loving the new A123's in the Yak. I think with time I will convert everything to those..

Default Fromeco Balancer

I too like the company and their products.
Still looking for some information on the theory of operation and instructions on their balancers.
I have a four cell iron core LiFePo pack that has only one balancer installed.
This tells me that it's better to get genuine A123 cells which would consist of a two cell pack, which is easier as far as balancing goes.
Admittedly the four cell pack with one balancer is better than nothing, but when these cells are at the end of their usefull lives, I'd like a better alternative.

Are there four cell packs with balance taps, and if so where?

I like the 2sBalancer that Fromeco can package in with the battery. Makes the decision to buy LiFe over any other kind a very simple one!

Default 2S balancer

What is your pack configuration? Is it more than 2 cells?

Bob, where is your field. Judging from the pictures on your website, it looks like a great place for giants!

Default Fromeco Batteries

It is a good place for the bigger planes. We are in Southern New Jersey in Atlantic County at a small agricultural airport called Downstown. Philadelphia International is about 30 miles to the northeast.
There is a VOR at our field, along with Ag Cats and just a few general aviation aircraft. I've been there since 1976 and like it a lot. Four or five of us camp out on some weekends throughout the year.

I don't get to fly as much as I'd like these days because I spend lots of time in Arizona working in the UAV industry.
It's all good though.

Take care
Bob
