www.aerobaticmodels.com has the yak profile with a two piece wing. Its a fatter fuse profile that allows the tank and all the gear to be inside the plane.

OMP just released the 47" Edge Version 3 completely redesigned with a two-piece wing, fiberglass tube reinforced fuselage and a few other improvements. The Edge makes a great trainer for beginner 3D pilots as it is very stable, forgiving, and pretty tough. Plus you can outfit it with any typical 46 BB two-stroke and standard servos. Available now in both kit and arf format at www.ohiomodelplanes.com.

Not sure why this "advertisement" fits in a thread where the original poster was looking for a Yak with removable wing halves. |

I think he was correcting Forrest, by stating exactly what was in production now. He indicated that there was a yak in the works, and if it is, it's way back in the list of priorities.
We all hate waiting for a new plane, then we find out it's a couple of seasons away. The OMP Yak 47 is a one piece plane, and may remain so for a while... Seems like Torquen also posted a plane not fitting the descrption in the first post. You gonna call his an ad too?

Yup, Salmon met two of three criteria, as did Torquen.
40 size with removable wing versus Yak airframe with removable wing... Be fair...

I stand corrected, and I apologize to Salmon, I didn't notice that...
Garrett, the plane that you listed doesn't fit the requested category either. Better?? ![]() ![]()

Didn't mean to cross any lines here. Since I manufactured both the Edge and the Yak profiles I thought I could help clarify what is available now. Currently the Yak is out of production however I may bring it back as well later on. The new V3 Edge also sports a longer "540T" style canopy which provides some of the extra fuse surface area the Yak was known for. So basically the V3 Edge is the best of both designs.

Understood Salmon,
No problem here, I may be looking for another airframe for a spare 50sx I have laying around. |

http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...-yak-55sp.html
but it's a little bigger than a 40 size plane. |
