And what I do not like is the exclusion of liability . The package was delivered by DHL and unpacked immediately. No signs of damage. But after a week ++ when I started the building I found that 3 ribs in the one wing was broken. Asked and mailed Tony Tan at Pilot-RC wich told me that no plane left the building damaged....

But there where no signs of damage at the boxes or the wing outside. No signs at all but 3 ribs were broken anyway... I should probably have detected this when I unpacked but everything looked good. Even today when I look at the wing outside it looks perfect. I managed to repair the wing, but Pilot-RC blamed DHL and they have been here looking at the damage so let`s see what happends.

I really do not like people blaming other and not taking the responsibility !

I was not able to reach the field. The landing was completed in a bit rough grass but it was even a nice landing, but the undercarriage was ripped up, tumbled round and did 2 holes in the wing before it ripped of one of the elevators. The propeller and rest of the plane is good. But when I went to get the plane I was a bit angry and disappointed when I saw the weak maingear construction. Almost no wood at all holding the landing gear plate and not even one triangle list supplying and strengthening the landing gear. I think this is all to weak and wonder what are other thinking about this?

I think you should inspect the aircraft durning assembly and if you deem an aera weak you should reinforse the aera as you deem appropreate. This is why all modelers have to pay the prices we do because the company has to figure in there prices. Whose falt was it YOU DID NOT MAKE THE FIELD YOU KNEW THE ENGINE WAS NOT RUNNING CORRECTLY. Aircraft are designed to land on a smooth surfact not out in the weeds. Because you knew the motor was acting up you should have been flying 300ft smack dab over the feild ready for a flame out!!

I dont mean to sound condesending But come on!!!! If you spent the time inspecting the airframe durning the unpacking and build you would have noticed the weak points and or damaged aeras. The time you wasted writing this could have been spent repairing the damage YOU caused

It is my 6.th DL and they have all been great except this one.

This is a very well known FACT about these moters 8 out of 10 of these motors are great the other 2 are JUNK. If you have 6 of these YOU WILL BE A VALUED CUSTOMER. send it back where you got it from and tell them DONT SEND IT BACK UNLESS THEY FIX IT OR GIVE YOU A NEW ONE!!! I do not own a DL for that reason

BUCK UP fix the plane or this is a great oppertunity to upgrage GET SOMETHING BIGGER!!!!
Have a great holiday season just my .02

This has ended up in 4 successful deadsticks but today the plane stopped again on low/middle range and I was not able to reach the field. The landing was completed in a bit rough grass but it was even a nice landing, but the undercarriage was ripped up, tumbled round and did 2 holes in the wing before it ripped of one of the elevators. I know the plane is not supposed to land in rough grass but this would happend in a normal rough landing on a nice grassfield!

The landing gear mount looks identical to my Extra 260 which pretty much the same thing happened to on a rough landing at the field when the DLE30 died on take off. Like a dummy, I put it back together like the Manufacture had had it. Just not strong enough. It busted out again and the whole engine mount buckled. Second time I replaced the landing mount with a piece of 1/4 ply all the way up to the firewall eliminating that covered area between the gear mount and firewall. Have had about 20 flight since with not further issues. Just as a note, I did have a couple ribs damaged inside the wing from the gear flipping under the plane the 2nd time the gear collasped. I finally got my DLE30 running pretty good except for low idle but my settings are way out of line with what I would have considered anywhere normal. H is about 2 1/2-5/8 out and low is about 1 1/2 turns. I get a little gurgling in trasition, smooths out under load and will handle about anything without dieing, maybe a little rich but not out of line. I do have to keep idle above 2100 to keep it from dieing after I land. Solved hot landing with a 20 X 6 prop.
