Default DL30 not pulling through fuel

Hey hey,
Went to start the brand new DL30 today and the carby wont suck fuel into the motor..

It seems to me like the carby is blocking fuel somewhere,
i cant even lightly blow air through it..
Any help would be great

Ryan

Ryan, firstly check to make sure the carby is bolted tight to the intake engine block plus your fuel lines are where they should be , including the tank pick up. if all is ok you need to prime the carby by opening up throttle / ignition off and place a finger over the carby intake then flick the prop over a few times. now see if will start or kick. if you dont get any kick you may need to look into the reeds which are behind the intake block to engine case , make sure these are free to move . the best way to test if the reeds are seating correctly is to remove the carby only and lightly blow in air by mouth and inhale lighlty, there should be resistance when inhailing just like a valve . see how you go with the prime firstly.

Tightening the carby a bit more seems to have done the trick!

Thanks!

Where did you buy it from?

No back up service?

the majority of times back up service can be pain if you have to post the engine away and waite for its return, especially if its a minor problem such as DemonAces lake of fuel draw which by the sounds is now fixed thanks to loose carb bolts. its great to see guys fix there own engines etc without relying on the supplier who sometimes knows next to nothing when it comes to 2 stroke engines plus you need to know your engine and know how to service and tune it , motor vehicle engines are much more complex in design for the novice to do this but the good old 2 stroke is a very simple unit. as they say ; you,ll never know if you don,t have a go.
