Well I flew it at Flagler field, then Sanford field and finally Daytona field.... the Electric Slide got around today.

At the end of the day put the 17x8E wood prop on it, WOW'ser....... 9600 went to 8100 but lots more bite and upline speeds are scorching, still at 52% throttle travel.....

Gotta start over now and see how many electrons am burning. Was doing 9 minute flights and using 2300 out of 3000 on each 4 cell pack.

Next weekend at the Atlanta Huckfest I will have the electric and Saito 100 powered Slides there and fly the poop out of them.

Building season is coming up soon if anyone wants me to bring one of these kits to pick up.

Who is the current distributor for the Slide 48 and Slide 58?

Ian at Texas Hobbies said he doesn't distribute for them anymore.

Thanks
Ernie

Hello CHAWKJIM

I have been watching the vids of the slides both electric and glow for several days.

I'm trying to find an airframe for a Saito 82, so I think the Slide 58 is too big.

Thanks
Ernie

I changed the Electric Slide from the wire gear to the new Tetherite gear I am carrying today.

I was under the impression that the wire gear is much lighter.....not true... What I don't like about the wire gear is that it bends, tucks etc on harrier landings and even normal. Once they get out of align I would be constantly adjusting.

I have the tetherite on my first slide now since Feb. I have flown about a dozen gallons of fuel on that gear.... Made 100 harrier landings and it is good to go.

The wire gear was .1 of an ounce (that is one tenth) lighter when all bolts, wheels, hardware added as compared to the fiberglas tetherites.

2.75 is a good size. 2.5 will work.
