Yes it would be cool to get the scale pilot! I'm still waiting for airplane and the engine, taking for ever to receive it, the engine is still in China. Eventually I will get to the build!

I got the plane today, was a big box no damage. I was impress with the box about an 1in thick of cardboard, very nice packaging. The plane is all good no wrap or twist so far. I got some work but will take my time as I'm still waiting on the DLE30, some delay there but no big deal as I get it one day! Most of the hardware is ok. I like the fact that the vertical stab come off, not something that you normally see on a plane of that size. So far so good, will try to get more stuff tomorrow. By the way no wrinkle on the plane!

By the way I will be using a A123 2s 2300mah for the electronic and the ignition, only pack that's right. To charge that pack it took about 8min on my FMA 4s cellpro, I'm amaze!

Cool!, mine is the black over yellow fuse, did you get Servo Horn Extensions with yours to bolt on standard horns? my mates yak of the same make got them but this didnt.

How are you planning to drill the holes for the cowl to secure it, been wondering how to line that up perfect

No servo horn extension, I believe it only come with the model at $369. I will use the one that came with my servos.

To line up perfect the cowl I will install my engine first with the cone on and will be just of matter of centering it to look nice and align, that's it. You could always make a round guide with cardboard, but I don't think that I would have to do that.

Looking good! gotta love it when you see damage to the outside of the box like that, keeps you wondering what you might find on the inside, mine came like that and i was expcting to see some kind of damage but never did. Keep us posted on the build.

The box was actually in good shape it was me when I opened the box, the cardboard was so thick. Absolutely no damage to the airplane, A+++ for packaging on this.

I don't know about that gear, Peakmodel told me that they fixed the problem, so I assume it's ok. I will see when I fly it, but does not bent too much, it look stonger than the one I had on my GP Yak 54 last year. Honestly I prefer carbon fiber but if this one work I will be happy for the price I paid for the plane. Just to let you know, not a big deal but there is no manual with my plane. I just finished sealing all the controls gap. now to the controls horn and servos. Look like I will be done before I get the motor. I will wait for rudder servo to look for C of G.

I got the wings done very nice measure twice drill once! Lots of trow for sure! One sad point as I'm getting ready for the elevators tomorrow is that you only get hardware for one side(as you can setup for one elevator servo), not to happy about that. I will have to dig in my spare bins to get something nice. I got no hobby shop around here that I can go get some hardware.

Forgot about the Manuel. Sounds like you have been in the hobby long enough thats it not a problem. I was out in the shop today and Josh was epoxying the stabs onto the fuselage because they were getting sloppy lose, something to look at.

I will effectively keep a eye on this but I like that feature so much that I hope I wont have to glue it. Been in the hobby for about 6-7yrs, many planes I build I don't know maybe 30-35 easy, electric, glow and Gas 50cc was my biggest.
Also Helicopter for about 2 years. So far that plane got no defect that I don't like or cant fix!

Continued with the build, my DLE30 is on his way to Canada, maybe next week!

I put the elevator servos in, no difficulties there I found some nice hardware that I had around.

Next is the pull-pull elevator, I was planning to wait for motor to check for CofG but the is not opening for a servo in the back and I'm not planning to play with that, my CofG should be good, lets hope!

Ok, I got the pull-pull done and did some reinforcement in the nose and gear block area just to prevent those not so good landing!

Anyway, what is left? Make a tray to have the fuel tank just in front of the wing tube as close as possible to the CofG, it's a 350cc 12oz, I believe, I could go smaller but that should be enough. And when I get the engine put that in and go fly. I'm hopping to get the engine next week. It's a pretty fast built, not much to do, I got maybe 7hre into it.
