Still waiting for my DLE30 to show up. Peakmodel, free shipping but you need to be patient, that is for sure. I cannot really complain about Peakmodel, it's the China EMS postal system, according to the tracking the package left about 6 days ago, I wonder if it come by air or sea? Anyway I just need to be patient

It's in Vancouver getting reviewed by custom now, it's moving! It took longer than usual because of the China National Holidays(1st-8th Oct) it's a valid reason!

Ok I had a productive day today, I got the engine in cowl done, CofG(5") done, ready to fly. I ran the engine for 2 tanks(12oz) 30 min each 1hour total, cheap on gas! It's a stump puller that DLE30. My set up will be just under 10lbs, should be close 2:1 trust ratio, almost to much! no big deal the plane balance nice and it's as light as any nitro setup. Tomorrow if weather is good I should be able to maiden.
![]() I hope the maiden goes good but so far it's a perfect setup! I will have a flight report as soon as I can. Also a clip. I pictures, sorry about the dust on the plane and all that but I will clean it! What a mess to do the cutting on the cowl, not my favorite part of the build! |

Ok for the last two days I maiden the plane, total of 4 flights. What a plane combo with the DLE30 power to sparex2! Anyway I could not do too much with the airplane as the engine is iffy at the moment it's still new and I have to do more work to have it more reliable. It will come good, just today I was having too much fun that I ran out of fuel deadstick at the end of the runway, I decided to do a 360 to get back to the runway and land perfect, not bad as I was low, maybe 100ft in high wind, when I turn back into the wind is where I land! Good plane for sure, except the wheels on the first flight when I land one of the wheel came off the rim... I change that for 3.5" Hangar 9 wheel and now it's fix! I will eventually get a video online. Anyway I greatly recommend the SU26 DLE30 combo from Peakmodel to anybody that want a great plane on a tight budget.

Guys, I had a bad luck with the plane this week. On take off about 30 ft high the engine quit for no reason, I was at the end of the runway going over a row of trees, so I zoom to gain altitude and did a 180 degrees turn to get back and land, but doing that my airspeed drop, no wind day, I dropped hopping to regain enough speed to get out of the stall but to late I impact the ground. Good thing I wasn't in the plane! Anyway that is the end of my story on that plane. I like the plane a lot but they are fragile, an accident like this and there is no point to fix that! I sold the engine to a friend that was king enough to sell me a GP extra 300S Patty Wagstaff with a nice DA-50 at an excelent price, so I'm back in the air. Unfortunately the engine didn't impress me, but my friend is more patient and will break in the engine on a stand on the ground, it will be good just need 5-6 hours on the ground. Anyway if somebody else have that plane and want to keep that thread going you are more than welcome I will stay around!

Sorry to hear!, yeah they are definately built light, thats a good thing if you ask me tho. I've just finished mounting the electric motor to mine and at present soldering bullet connectors but my iron or tip is giving up so have had enough of trying to solder one connector for 2 hours
![]() How accurate would you say the stock CG point was on yours? |
