Almmendes,

I have many hours and tweaking on the first two prototypes from Aerotech, if you have any questions feel free to ask me and I will do my best to answer you back. The one thing I want to tell you is to be carefully with the elevator throw, this model can be very touchy with any amount of elevator that is given it and as mentioned earlier it does like to tip stall when given to much elevator, more so then most planes on the market.

So... start in super low throws for the elevator and then get used to it?

Thanks for the tip

Looks good Antonio! I've got quite a bit going on tomorrow but I'll sure try to make it out to see it fly.

Hey guys, first flight was fine however my Left servo aileron servo arm got stripped but only figured that out on the ground. I did increase the expo's... it's really touchy but lands like a baby... perfect landing.

Video to come later.

Thanks guys.

P.S.: Official weight is 16.5lbs... still good

Expo should soften the feel up! Looks like you had none or perhaps too much control for your low rates when you took off.

I wouldn't mind trying one out, but locally no one has one of those, not even Aerotech models I have encountered at the field. I would sure like to try one

I OPP'd one of these planes a few years ago. My overall impression was it was nice IMAC/precision flyer. It tracked nicely, looked great in the air, had virtually no coupling and plenty of rudder authority. As others have mentioned, it was an awesome point-roller and was easy to do clean slow rolls with. Snaps were a little funny, though. 3D... not so much... It feels VERY short-coupled when you really get on the elevator. It's really kind of an odd bird (pun intended?) in high-alpha, and I think it has to do with not only being short-coupled, but the nose is reaaaaallly long. It was a real handful to harrier upright, and inverted wasn't much better. No tweaking of the CG or throws could calm it down. It has a lot of rudder authority in 'normal' flight, but it wasn't happy trying to a HA KE. I think a lot of it's inconsistent characteristics were due to its (in my opinion) odd proportions. It would flat spin and KE spin nicely, but waterfalls were lazy. It didn't find it snappy at all, or have any tendency to tip stall; in fact, it would do a really nice crisp Wall and snap-to-hover. Hovering was ok, but certainly not a 'hover trainer', as the rudder really lost authority in HA.

My $ .02

I haven't tried much with it due to the servo arm problem, but one thing I noticed and it has coupling in KE. I'm going to create mixing and reduce coupling but it couple toward the canopy. Rolls are amazing, no input and rudder has a great authority for sure.

Thanks for your opinion. I'll be posting more videos later on.

Thank you

One of these was given to me a few weeks ago by some friends of mien that were getting out of the hobby, And i have to agree that it is an amazing IMAC plane and great for just general flying but 3D is a little on the tricky side it doesnt like to harrier and you constantly have to chase the ailerons and rolling harriers are kinda like cotinuous snaps in a straight line...Maybe it will just take getting used to or something but other than that its ana amazing plane its easy and fun to fly
