Default BME 2.6 Question

I am finally going to finish my Top Flite Giant Scale P-47 and will be using a BME 2.6 that has never been flown. My question is that the carb is side mounted and comes pretty close to the cowl. How much space do I need between the cowl or what can I do about it being so close. I would think that I am going to be within 1/2 inch.

Thanks For Any Help,

Joe

The choke disk needs to open and close without hitting anything. If it clears you are good to go. Post some pictures.
