Anything is possible... But I have not seen anyone attempt this and probably due to fact that the plumbing design via likely tapping into tailpipe then running through wings would be time consuming, then especially to connect and insulate pipes through any of the detachable, pre-made ARF wings that are the norm mainly nowadays. Smoke flairs would be the easier option and likely much more effective....

Don't give in so easily! Go for it!

Run some brass tubing through your wing ribs, insulated where they contact the ribs with silicon tubing or something else that can take the heat. Probably need to inject oil prior to running out to wing tips. Method for tapping the turbine would have to be thought through and would surely be interesting.

Someone has to be the first one to do it!

The only one I've seen do this is Dewey Davenport on his MB339. He puts a small smoke bomb that he gets at a fireworks store in each wing tank and ignites them with an Estes rocket igniter. It took him a while to find the right fireworks and to perfect the system. He sometimes uses different colored smoke.

There's a video on http://rcairgallery.com/pages/video.php?type=0 It's about the 15th one down. Download the "Michigan Jets, Dewey Davenport, MB339" video.
