Looks good! What's with the two different heights (lengths) of cowls. They both appear to be of the same diameter, and if they are from the 50cc size why do they have cutouts for a twin cylinder engine. I had asked that before and had understood that it would be left to the builder to make the cutouts but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The cowlings are 2 different sizes. The Blue/white is the 100cc one..... About the cut out in the cowl; this was a mistake on these prototypes, no big deal on these. The smaller 50cc ones will have a signle cut out on the bottom for a single cylinder engine while the 10cc version will have its cylinder cut-outs expanded a bit for additional flow for all production versions. Good eye Koal, but already handled!!

I am also planning on running the new Spektrum A6030 servos on the stabs and wings. At 278 ounces of torque. .15 speed, TITANIUM GEARS(!!!), and only $85 apiece they look like a hot ticket. They keep pushing back the arrival date though, so if I can't get them in the next week or so I will have to go with something else. Kind of on a tight budget so I would have to settle with Hitec 5985's or similar.

I hope you can get the Spektrum servos, like you say for the price and specs they look really good! I'd like to hear what you think about them.

I am curious to see how these perform. Is there anything that sets these apart from hitec 7955's? From what I can tell aside from slightly less torque they are pretty much identical as far as specs go...and price. |

Hopefully they will center better. Batteries are ordered, Smart-fly stuff ordered, mufflers ordered...still no engine

That would be great if they centered better...the price looks REALLY good if they do. I am really looking forward to getting my hands on one of these planes. Any pictures of the red scheme yet? |

The blue scheme looks like it would be very visible. Especially on the spins you end up having to do in IMAC really freakin high.

I like the 7955's ability to run unregulated lipo/lions over the spektrum servos. I really haven't noticed any problem with centering on my 7955's and I'm pretty picky about centering, that was the reason I didn't run 5955's.

I honestly havent run the 79xx series servos, but all I hear about them is how loud and jittery they are. This will be primarily a 3D bird tho, so I really want torque and speed more than killer centering, anyway. I have 5955's in my 100cc aeroworks and they have been good to me for what I demand of them. I am starting to think I need faster servos tho for some of the roller stuff I have been doing. Maybe I should go with 8717's at .06 speed!!!
