Wednesday is Hemple YAK day in Tucson. Since just about everyone who has one has Veterans Day off. See a pattern here? Anyways, I can't imagine that several video camera's will not be in use... Maybe even a FlyCam???

I'm up for strapping on the flycam. Sorry for not having any video. None of us are very 'video-savvy'. Maybe on wednesday?

A gay way to insure your friends NEVER fly your airplanes!

I am pretty sure the rudder is on the aileron stick and the throttle is located as a trim lever on the back of the radio, the ailerons are where the throttle was and you have a few snap buttons for the elevator.......

Just a real stupid way to fly! (J/K Nick)

I think you are way off, Mode 4 has a foot pedal for the throttle and you have to shove your head up your @$$ to slip the plane in on a good crosswind.

You would think a Mode 4 guy could fly a Radian but no, he wrecked it. I think that is two gliders now... Not sure what the issue is...

Test flew my Bill Hempel 50cc YAK on Sunday before Bill could get out there. It flew great needing only 3clicks of left aileron and 4 clicks of up elevator. Took it easy on the first flight, did the basic IMACC pattern. I think I would have scored higher than I did at last years contest after practicing for 2 months with my Katana. Bill did the honors for the second flight and had the plane doing maneuvers I don't think there are names for. Third flight went well also. After checking out the plane i noticed a small spot on the cowl where the muffler was rubbing through and I lost one of the strakes on the front of the cowl. Both items were cosmetic and have already been fixed. All that is left is a little reprogramming on the radio and some graphics and the Yak is all finished. Thanks for the programming advice Bill.

If its just a matter of switching rudder and aileron, some radios can do it just by changing a setting in the programming some have to be hard wired.

It's pretty simple, Futaba has a menu and JR uses a soldering iron...
